Philanthropic Programs & Community Outreach
Aurora Flight Sciences’ leadership and staff are committed to serving our local communities through a variety of efforts, ranging from sponsoring local schools’ participation in engineering competitions, to participating in food, clothing and other charitable drives. We are proud to support educational initiatives and programs that help inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists, and encourage students to pursue higher education and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
Aurora also gives back by mentoring local students, providing internships, and conducting facility tours and school presentations. Additionally, our employees provide hands-on support and mentoring to dozens of students who compete each year in STEM events such as the Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC) and FIRST Robotics. Team America Rocketry Challenge
Aurora has been a proud sponsor of the Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC) since its inception in 2003. TARC is the world’s largest student rocket contest and a key piece of the aerospace and defense industry’s strategy to build a stronger U.S. workforce in STEM-related fields.
